Collaborating on a choral work for 9/11

It is with a solemness that I remember today, 9/11, all those who perished on that tragic day and the loved ones they left behind, the heroes that worked tirelessly to save as many lives as possible, the way the nation came together, and how the world changed forever after this day.

Years after this tragedy, I had the honor of being asked to provide lyrics to a melody composed by New York church music minister, Chris Tse, and that was how I came to write the lyrics for “Our Prayer for You,” in memory of 9/11 victims and survivors.

On the 10th anniversary of 9/11, this choral piece was sung by the St. Paul Young Adult Church Choir at the Church of Saint Paul the Apostle in the heart of Manhattan in New York City at a Mass held in memory of 9/11.  Please be invited to view this video here, and if you look close, you can find me singing in the choir.
