Even plans written in stone can sometimes take another turn, as was the case when a couple said firmly to me a while back that they would not need wedding ceremony recessional/exit music because the DJ would play it after I finished playing for the rest of the ceremony.

However, the DJ never arrived that day due to unforeseen circumstances, and the couple found out only after the wedding ceremony.

Therefore, it is recommended that couples consider creating a “plan B” with their live musician as far in advance as possible in the event of an emergency.  And I would be more than happy to play backup wedding exit music and more for you.
