Over the years, my wedding music workspace has evolved into a diverse collection of instruments and gear that enables me to bring my best to every wedding I play.

I love being able to switch between my acoustic piano and my keyboard.  The acoustic piano is ideal for exploring the emotional and lyrical heart of a piece.  It's where I connect with the raw beauty of the music.  However, my keyboard is my portable go-to to transpose songs on the fly as needed for my vocals or for instrumental effects.

Speaking of my voice, practicing with my microphone and amplifiers is crucial.  It allows me to experiment with different tones and textures, making sure every song resonates perfectly.  My boom mic stand is also an essential piece of equipment for singing gigs, allowing me the freedom to move and perform naturally.

I always make sure to have music at my fingertips, and I use playlists on my tablet for reading through songs.  I used to rely on a page-turner device, but found that as a pianist, I didn't really need it, as my feet are already occupied with sustain pedals.  It's one less thing to worry about.

When I'm on the go, I love my “squeeze” style keyboard stand because it's a breeze to set up - no more pinched fingers!  And my well-padded cases are non-negotiable for keeping my gear safe and sound.  It's always a good idea to bring extra extension cables, but it's great when the venue is well-equipped with its own cables.
