Announcing my new release TODAY, “Josefina (Classitronica Mix)”

The other day, as I was getting ready to go somewhere, I came upon a humongous shiny blue dragonfly that encircled me and I was in awe of it.  It seemed to be about half a foot long from head to tip of the tail, and it looked like the kind of creature from fairytales.  It felt like the symbol for my newest release, “Josefina (Classitronica Mix),” and its latest reinvention.

The five year journey that has gone into the making of “Josefina (Classitronica Mix)” has been a humbling and positively transformative journey for me.  I have decided not to take any fast approach to my serving up this track to the society of music listeners.  It was crafted with love and intention yet room for spontaneity and spirit.

While I tend to shy away from being a storytelling “narrator” of my music, a bit more about the story of “Josefina (Classitronica Mix)” is that it is my inspired ode to fashionistas everywhere as I grew up the daughter of a mother who performed creative work embroidering for NYC fashion designers who dressed supermodels and stars in their heyday.  As a kid, I often found myself in fashion showrooms, surrounded by models, while my mother, a dynamic and highly creative woman, was collaborating with these designers.

Fans of my previously released track “House of Dreams (Runway Remix)” will recall that I removed it from platforms for further development. I believe “Josefina (Classitronica Mix)” serves as the follow-up, aiming to capture the electrifying energy of the runway.  This can be the runway for models or, more metaphorically, the “runway of our lives” as my reply to Shakespeare’s quote that “All the world’s a stage.”  It’s music for when you’re about to do something really brave in life toward making your dreams a reality.

Listeners who previewed the track helped me with the designation of this track as electronic classical music and I think it is a fitting “naming” for this kind of music.  It is a hybrid track, featuring electronic music with a driving beat, as well as the following live instruments:  piano, violin, guitar, and bass.  I played the live piano and guitar portion of the track, in addition to overseeing the orchestration and production of it.

With this latest release as a follow up to “Dot to Dot (Digitally Remastered),” it is my hope to keep introducing new audiences to two of my most popular melodies, that of “Josefina” and “Dot to Dot,” the latter track also relatively newly released and up on major platforms.  I hope that listeners find a version of “Josefina” that suits their musical taste!

I thank God for helping this track see the light of day, and may it find all who would enjoy it!  Hope folks enjoy all the videos and all the expressions of this track that will follow its release, too.  Check it out on Spotify, Apple Music and elsewhere.   Please like, share, comment, playlist, follow and keep in touch with me if it resonates with you with all of my thanks, in advance, for listening.
