Please join me in celebrating my latest release, “Wander (Original Film Score),” out TODAY on major music platforms!
I had the privilege of creating this film score for the movie IN COD WE TRUST, directed by Raphael Edwards and Seonghoon Eric Park. The movie is about the joys and challenges of cod fishermen in Gloucester, Massachusetts. Through beautiful, dynamic, and lyrical views of their boats at sea from dawn to dusk, we are taken into a slice of life that few know about.
I am grateful for the opportunity to have contributed to this film because I love the sea and I love fish. I partly grew up on Long Island where I was surrounded by the water culture there, and my experiences offered me inspiration in the creation of this music. To create this track, I pulled from my own catalog of original music and instrumentalized one of my songs, “Wander,” which has a meandering ending, and then I layered shimmery pianos and added ambient delays to recreate the poetry of the sea. The entire 3 ½ minutes of my track was used for the ending of the film and the opening of the credits.
This movie went on to win the 2023 SONY Future Filmmakers Award and other awards. Since its release, I have gone on to study more film scoring, and welcome new collaborations.
