singing from the start

my singer's story

As a vocalist, I started out as a back-up singer for a veteran rock band, The Defenders, in Brooklyn, and loved doing shows and touring around with them so much that I began writing and publicly performing my own songs not long after. 

Musically, I was trained at Cornell University, Mannes School of Music and Hunter College, and I have studied voice with private teachers, including Edel Sanders.  

Nowadays, whether I sing soprano vocals for a wedding, funeral, church function, or special event, or sing pop and jazz with my band, Isabel and The Whispers, it is my pleasure to serve and entertain others with my singing and songs. 

My repertoire ranges from pop, dance pop, folk and jazz, to classical music such as art song, sacred music, ethereal vocals, and more.
