On singing and songwriting

As a recording artist, recording vocal music takes a special significance because I am not a singer with some huge, belting voice.  In fact, my voice is on the delicate side.

So listeners are treated to a whole new feel of my voice in my recordings as I am mic-ed with mics that pick up everything with higher fidelity, and my singing sounds strong and clear, especially to folks who have heard me perform live with my band and also to folks who've heard me drowned out in shows.

For this reason, it's great to have the chance to sing my songs with higher definition in the studio. My songs are truly audio “records.”  Especially, my newest release “Your Eyes” is an audio record of love.

My melodies are wrapped up in the lyrics and emotion, and they are truly compact, time-stamped expressions from my heart and soul.
